Seventh of 8 on a cycle ride W of Nottingham. Pushed bike to top of hill after admiring the weird Hemlock Stone lower down. Mountain bikers were doing their enthusiastic stunts on the tracks, and guided me as to which to take. Steep but well worth it once at the top with great views mainly to the N and NW. On to Golf Course trig in Bulwell, by car.

This is my local Pillar and I've been coming here since I was very small. Parked in Bramcote Park and crossed the road to the Hemlock Stone open space and up the hill. TP at top of hill with good views. It's now seen substantial tree growth and views are partial. Blue (graffiti) paint job has washed off since my last visit and it may be leaning slightly. It's worth visiting the Hemlock Stone on the way down. It's pretty unique.
