Parked on the road to the east of the pillar, near Tibberton Manor. The pillar can be found on the grass verge within a gap in the hedge on the north side of the B5062. did not go into field to see the S' number.

re-visit. Having stayed at Coalport YHA for a few nights, decided to visit Longdon on Tern Aqueduct before heading for home. Then realised I would be passing this pillar. My good friend Jim, who's been company on many Saturday evenings at the pub and canal holidays over the last 25 years, died suddenly recently. He was born in 1936 as per the pillar number. Took a few photos and had a few moments reflection. Trampled vegetation indicated another's recent visit, but this doesn't appear on the website.

re-visit. Used the cycleway from Stafford to Newport. Stop for lunch. Passed again in a loop round before heading on roads homeward. Perched on roadside bank.

re-visit. Stopped early in Eccleshall at the Star Cafe for their super North Staffs Breakfast. Into lanes on a random looping and zig-zagging route where I've not been so much in recent years. Legs feeling great. One mug of tea, 4 x 700ml water and 500 ml Lucozade to deal with effects of the hot day. Despite not having a map with me I was pretty sure on where to find this pillar. Cleared of encroaching ivy. Went to donate blood yesterday, but failed minimum iron level, didn't stop me pedalling 128 miles today! Went to a friend's 85th birthday recently, so FB number appropriate!

Right on the side of the road. Pretty uninteresting on a cold murky day like today. Perhaps the view of the Wrekin would improve matters on a fine day. Ivy beginning to claim the pillar.

Not easy to park. Use side road to east and walk carefully along the verge. Just a step up from the verge. Good views to a cloud shrouded Wrekin and Lilleshall Monument.

Parked just off B5062 on lane to Tibberton Manor, the road is wide enough.Scrambled up the bank to where the crop was being harvested. Trig has a coat of white paint and ivy growing up it. The farmer drove up and asked if I was from the OS. Gave him details of our website, probably thought I was a nutter! Quite good views with the ever present Wrekin in the distance.

Busy and fast road, I guessed that the flush bracket was on the field side of the pillar but decided that it was too risky to scramble up the bank to look for it.

Such an easy trig to find. The OS Map states it on the corner of the road junction as if it to be in the garden of the large house. It is actually on the north side of the road on the edge of the field a little further along the road to the west of the junction. Good views of the Wrekin and south Shropshire Hills from here when looking south.

I didn't scamble up the bank to find the number, partly because of the brambles, partly because of the ivy covering half the trig!

Quite like this location. The roadside is moderately uninteresting, but it was nice to be able to see the Wrekin and the Lilleshall monument. Couldn’t quite pick out the trigs from this distance though!
