Huge ancient burial mound at the summit, surmounted by a toposcope, with the trig slightly off to one side. Pillar has some damage to the top edges which has exposed the end of one of the spider arms, hence have classified it 'slightly damaged'. 2 sight holes open; cap missing as is the asphalt plug of which a residue remains. Tinto is a very prominent hill in the area, it can be seen for miles around and consequently there are excellent 360deg views from the summit.

Walked up here doing the two caches enroute on a very hot day. By the time I got to the top I was soaked through all over with sweat. The pillar is in good condition except for a small chip of the top, nothing to bad though. The old information pillar on top of the cairn is now the home to a wasps nest.
