A very easy trig to get to from all directions, but the ridge from Midhopestones to Boulderstone is worth doing. lost count of the amount of times I have changed walking or trig pointing days on the advice of the weathermen and then sat at home all day in nice weather so today I just went for it and got very wet indeed, easy walk in from the road, flowers on top of trig, can imagine it being very nice views from here on a clearer day.

Walked in from the road head by the Whitwell oor sign. A lovely walk through the wood then out on to the moor. Through an avenue of rowan trees dwarfed. Got a real sese of remoteness here. Heard curlews sheep and cows near by and Pike low and other hills near by.

Parked by Hunger Hill Farm and quick stroll to the gleaming white TP, adorned with flowers no doubt associated with this being a memorial as previously referred to. There is no real parking at the end of this road, but a wide drive access to the Farm sufficed for the short visit.
