Walk up from car park East (Cadwgan Forestry) straightforward walk through forest on well kept track, past locked up building then through the ferns to the top. Trig in good condition, made up from stone, plaque, FB, Spider but cap missing.

1/3 from Llanthony Priory car park. Steep ascent via Beacons And Cambrian Ways. Trig has one of the best views I’ve seen so far. Sugarloaf and Skirrid to south, Grywne Reservoir and Waun Fach to north, Ewyas Valley below. Stunning! Trig is in good condition with the spider and FB intact.

Doing the Big Black Mountain Challenge today so decided to collect the trigs along the way. Ten hours and two minutes from start to finish on an ideal day for walking.

Walked up from Llanthony Priory but summit was only a quick visit as the weather forecast was for thunderstorms and it looked very stormy to the south so it wasn't a place to hang around. Headed off along ridge then down to Cwmyoy en route to Pandy and stayed dry.

Bagged as part of a 21 mile 6-trig circular walk. Parked in the Llanthony Priory car park and followed the Beacons Way up onto the ridge. Haze limited the view somewhat. Continued along the ridge to Rhos Dirion.

Masonry pillar, bit rough but sound condition. We parked in the Grwyne Fawr valley, walking up through the woods and out over the top. From the trig, we went down into Llanthony for a cuppa in the priory then retraced our steps back to the car. One of the best walks.

Found whilst geocaching along the ridge. Unusual stone column. A very windy day, so the photos are a bit blurry!

Best part of the Breacon are the Black Mountains - IMHO. Location of this trig is high up on one of NW-SE orientated ridges overlooking the Vale of Ewyas. We had parked at Llanthony and followed the steam up Cwn Bwchel to the top of the ridge. Lovely walk, lovely views. And a very pleasing trig built from stones as opposed to the usual lump of concrete; supposed to be slightly damaged, but looked ok to me.

Excellent place . All pillars should have views like this! Walked up from Llanthony woods via ROW. Was short on time which was a shame because the weather and views could have kept me for hours.Lovely views down on to Llanthony Priory from the path. Pillar is stone built and in good condition. Came past here in 2002 when on round of Welsh Hewitts but had no photos.

Walked up from Llanthony Priory on the way to the dam at Grwyne Fawr. Wonderful views on a very clear day. Trig has been "Duckworthed" a little more tastefully than most, retaining it's correct shape.

This is one I found whilst sorting out old photo albums and had not logged it as I was not a "triggie" in those days. The date of entry is 28/05/2013 . The views and weather were superb. This now makes a total of 400 pillars.
