About three miles north of Nettlebed then north west along narrow road. Pulled over at track entrance to field on south west side of road about 100 metres before property on opposite side of road. Started looking along hedge line on north side of road, pillar beside and over a gate on that side. Covered in prickly brambles. Not my best gardening effort but cleared away by a bit of pushing back. FB number buried but soil loose and not too much trouble to dig it out, but didn’t have any tools so just used my feet and hands. Luckily it is on the north east face, not north west face which would have been even more awkward. Spider and cap in place. No views from pillar although about two hundred metres to north west road drops steeply away and there’s a good view across the country, although a bit drizzly and cloudy at the time. Revisit 2/3/24 in the area, hadn’t marked off on the map I had with me. Recognised it as I pulled over on the roadside.

Easy to access and easy to park. Even in December, though, this pillar is covered in brambles, and they'll defend their trig vigorously against those who would attempt to photograph its flush bracket! Otherwise, pillar seems to be in good nick. Unremarkable view.

Initially no issue but then just before the R-L at Cookly green to gain the B road it sent me directly left on an unsurfaced track via Coates farm. Passable but technically only a footpath :-) after that the trig (amble parking next to it) was an anticlimax
