Parked in large lay-by off of the road. Walked up part of the Macmillian Way, across fields and through gates to trig. Very boggy, especially around the trig. Fantastic views in all directions, really enjoyed this visit. Walked down to Pinkworthy Pond and down the valley past the outdoor centre. Could easily visit Parracombe as well from here - sadly I didn’t have time. Lots of history in the area.

The surrounding ground is quite boggy, but the actual trig itself is very fine as are the views and solitude afforded from this large barrow. Go here if you want to be 'away from it all'.

Parked in lay bye and walked the Macmillan way north towards the open moor. Good walking until you reach the wall gate at 477m point, the gate way is one big mud pool with the only way of crossing is to go along the wall some distance and climb over.
