A tad difficult to spot in the undergrowth then had to hop up onto a verge adjacent to the main road where I could cut back a bit of the foliage!

West of Maidenhead on north side of A308 about 75 metres west of Cranbrook Drive on south of road. In hedge but fortunately partly cleared of vegetation although would be consumed by hawthorn unless it was cut back occasionally. View of field to the north and residential area to south.

Parked on Cranbrook drive, beware though it has two entrances and you could look a fool if you park at the wrong end and spend 12 minutes rooting around looking for the trig that is half a mile up the road, just saying ;-)

En route home from a circular walk from Cookham, via the Thames Path and some surprisingly hilly terrain over Cookham Rise! Very flat scenery around here, except for the Chilterns running down to the E. Easy find standing proud of a very well kept hedge - metal cap, deep letters, NW s/hole open, all others buried, overall excellent condition.

I had to go through two sets of traffic lights to get to this TP. The rain was getting heavier and i missed it at first. As the road was going down hill i know i must have missed it so turned back. Found it next to lamppost. Good condition, but rather difficult to take a picture of as it was peeing it down by now and had to stand in road to take one. Still, the rain is warm...

As with everyone else, parked on Cranbrook Drive. The trig is on the N side of the A308 Furze Platt Rd, right next to the lamp post. Trig in good condition, original metal cap, front sighthole now below ground level, right sighthole closed, left & rear sightholes open (previous logger must have gotten his notes mistaken). I left a 2p coin in the rear sighthole for the next visitor to find. First time taking Griff our furry landshark (German Shepherd puppy) (11 weeks old) out trigging with us!

Roadside, parked across the road on Cranbrook Drive. Pillar in gap in hedging, cleared some vegetation to raise its profile a little. Original cap in place, deeply indented lettering; rear and LHD side sight holes opened, front below ground level. Farmland views to north. ***Amended 1 Aug 15 after referring back to my notes and realized I read them incorrectly, thanks to the next logger for pointing this out!

Visiting Maidenhead to attend a wedding and from my map this looked a real possibility. As others have done I just parked in the estate to the south of the main road. Unfortunately it was monsoon season and i got absolutely drenched on my relatively short journey. Everything is fine but did not linger long.
