Heading south west on the A429 past the old Georgian Prison in a dip at a crossroads about a mile further on, pulled in at lay-by on left of road about 200 metres before the electricity pylons. Pillar a few metres further on on the same side of the road. Easy access. Interesting that this pillar in named after the Fosse Way (extra point) on which it lies, I wonder if it’s the only one between Exeter and Lincoln that is. Reading other logs I wonder why there was a tribute here at one time.

How surprising that no-one's logged this before, as it's right on the grass verge of the A429, next to a layby! Anyway, there is no plug but otherwise it's in pretty good nick, with some residual white paint. All sight holes are blocked. There are some open agricultural views W and E but the road is very busy.
