Pulled in at start of byway Upper Icknield Way on west side of road. Could probably have ridden along for about 750 metres as far as the junction of footpaths, surface not too bad maybe a bit slippery. Uphill to south west along footpath. After about 700 metres ground levelled. Headed into woods to east. No obvious high point to aim for. A couple of saggy barbed wire fences to step over, although a trip hazard where they are covered by fallen leaves. Spotted pillar about two hundred and fifty meters east of path. Spider and cap in place. No views.

Parked in car park and followed bridleway north to the 233 spot height on map , turning right on a good track east. The area south of this track is all signed private woodland and just as the track turns north a dotted path on the O.S map continues east towards the trig point, this last section in inside the private woodland.

This is my 200th TP and i didnt know if i would be able to get to it, but in the end, it was easy. You can cycle to within 200m using the informal ROW following rather decrepit barbwire fence. Then hop over it and short walk to TP. Lovely dappled sunshine.

Tricky one to get to this one, especially as a lot of the woods are out of bounds at the moment because of new tree planting. Admittedly we did dodge through a gap in the barbed wire fence 200 ft from the trig, so not entirely public at the moment. TP in good condition, plug intact and plate complete. Does need a good bath though.
